Democracy can’t have a gentleman like Kayani in Pakistan!

Despite the fact that government of Pakistan is desperate to go in elections as Martyr Of democracy yet another time and they are not letting any leaf unturned in this respect the fact of the matter is no one other player in this game of Pakistani politics is willing to give way to President and his affiliates to become martyr of democracy.

For the first time in the history of Pakistan the trica of Opposition, Military and Judiciary are on the same page. They all want to see democracy progress and prosper in paksitan leaps and bound. The acts of president, prime minister, and their companions want to go for a new election with a strong slogan. For Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians the slogan of being martyr of democracy is nothing less than historical genus.

History of Bhutto Family tells us that they have used this fact very effectively for winning and justifying their miss-governance to the people of Pakistan. This has been the argument of every PPPP government since the takeover of Gen. Zia ul Haq. Leaders from  PPPP while addressing public gatherings often chant that they remain reluctant to take bold steps due to the interference of Establishment. In their argument this is the basic reason behind the miss-governance in the country while PPPP in power.

After the increased tension between Military and the government on Memo Gate Scandal and Prime Minister of Pakistan Mr. Gilani’s remarks about Mr.Kayani; General Ashfaq pervaiz Kiani was given full permission to take over the power by force. Pakistan was heading towards another Martial Law but the credit goes to Judiciary and Opposition in general and Mr. Kayani in particular that Pakistan survived another thread of Martial Law in the country. Though there is international community involved in this prohibition as well nad due to their involvement the today’s meeting of Mr. Asif Ali Zardari and Gen. Ashfaq Pervaiz Kiani took place but history of Pakistan tells us that whenever military general has decided to overturn the regime; no one has been able to stop him.

At the time of Gen. Ayub Khan’s take over half of the world was not in favor of his takeover but they remain unable to stop him by doing so. Though there were US underhand support was there for him but at large he was not a well-supported ruler at the time of his inception.

General Yahya was another example; He was the darling of the US but democracy loving Nations around the world remain unable to stop him from being in power. When General Zia came into power half the world remain unable to stop that single person from Hanging the then Prime minister and President of Pakistan Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.

Gen Pervaiz Musharaf was also not very highly supported Dictator but he remained in power for eight long years. No international pressure could stop him. The only difference between Gen. Zia and Gen. Musharaf was that Nawaz Sharif was saved by international community and Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was not been saved. Probably US was less furious over Nawaz Sharif than Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto or International Community acted more enthusiastically for Nawaz Sharif than Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. But whatever the reason was the fact of the matter is when 111 Brigade moves towards Presidency, no one can stop it. This is an undeniable fact of political history of Pakistan. The key to that brigade remains always in the pocket of Millitery Chief. This proves the sword of Damocles over Democracy all the time. 

Though currently US State Department and General Head Quarters (GHQ) are not on the same page but if General Kiani has decided to overturn the Zardari government he has cards to appease US and gain international support for some time but he is a gentleman till today. He has no intentions to through democracy into basket, or he doesn’t want to take blame of being Dictator, or he doesn’t want to let PPPP use the slogan of Martyr of Democracy yet another time. Whatever may be the reason behind his reluctance to take over this act of his will always remain noted in the history of Pakistan.

Pakistani President Asif Zardari went to Dubai due to Hard Attack instead of Heart Attack!

Since 1999 there has never been so much tension between Supreme Commander of the Armed forces President Asif Ali Zardari and  Chief of Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kiani. The words of President of Pakistan Yousuf Raza Gilani against Mr. Kiani added fuel to the fire.Core Commanders met in General Staffs Headquarters (GHQ) Today to discuss the current political situation and bestowed full support to Mr Kiani. This meeting lasted for ten hours. As in all former martial laws this is no ordinary meeting and when it takes place and decides to throw the sitting President and Prime minister it means that 111 brigade start marching towards the Presidency. In these circumstances Zardari Decided to leave Pakistan for a personal visit. Some are seeing it as a retreat and others are looking it as another time buying tactic from Mr. Zardari and a little amount of people are whispering this move as part of a deal between Presidency and GHQ. 


Yes, it is true that 111 brigade is ready for the coup, but in current political circumstances Army will not  coup d'etat. i am saying this because of the wonderful playing mind of Mr. Zardari and strong position of Chief Justice of Pakistan Mr Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry. The Ellection Commission Of Pakistan has announced 3 March 2012 to be the date of the Senate Election. On the other hand All Opposition Political Parties in Pakistan have decided to bring a No Confidence against Mr. Gilani. Opposition don't want to see Senate Elections conducted in current numbers of national and provincial Assembles of Pakistan. On the other side of the coin Voter lists for the National And Provincial Assemblies of Pakistan are not completed yet. 

The Supreme court of Paksitan is demanding Voter lists to be completed not later than 23rd February 2012. Very close Friends of Mr Zardari unveiled the fact to the word real news informer that Mr. Zardari don't want to see himself a second term president because he is fully aware of the fact that he has to face Swiss Cases. It is not far from reality that he might be convicted and has to spend some time in jail or in exile. He is definitely use his old tactic of keeping himself away from the judicial process by not being present. He need some time to go through the process. His position as head of PPPP or the father of the Head of Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians will be more significant then being President of Pakistan. If Senate Elections held in time on the date announced by Election Commission of  Pakistan, Mr. Zardari followed the slogan of live and let live with respect of Cheif of Army staff, and able to buy some time with respect of Supreme court of Pakistan; there is no way army try to derail democracy in Pakistan. 

This is the first time Military don't want to derail the democracy in Pakistan due to various reasons but the way President Zardari and his friends are doing governance; democracy is on its last ebb since Kerry Luger Bill. The most significant thing around is Last time the visit of Mr. Zardari was seen as a escape attempt but afterwords that visit was the reason of Heart Attack but this time the circumstances has forced him to leave Pakistan far earlier than any coup d'etat in Pakistan. Pakistani President Asif Zardari went to Dubai is definitely due to Hard Attack!!!
